The Latino Council cooperates in with area groups to produce Latino festivals each year:
The
Cinco de mayo festival is sponsored by the Arts
Center, Hilton Head Island, and features music and variety of Latino foods, provided by area
Latino restaurants. Most people think that the "Cinco de mayo" is
Mexico's celebration of its independence from Spain, but this is a
misconception. For more information on this holiday, click
here.
The Sabor Latino festival has been offered every
autumn for the last few years. It features
a variety of Latino foods,
music, dances, and crafts, and is held at Shelter Cove Park,
Hilton Head Island. This year the Sabor Latino festival will be held on
Sunday, October 21st.
See this page for future days and dates of these festivals. They are wonderful entertainment for the entire family.
